Les Enfants de Dieu kids are kicking it!

The kids get excited by the filming

After a day off yesterday, which found Pervez and Bret breakdancing in Kimiranko market, to the vast entertainment of the local people, and playing football with the kids back at the centre, today we’ve had a whole day working with the former street children and young people at Les Enfants de Dieu.

This morning, we split them into two groups, and worked first with the younger kids, then with the older ones (some returning from their homes, where they are now reintegrated, to take part in the workshops). Some of them are really starting to get it now, which is very exciting. It was super-hot though out on the basketball court, so no more outdoor lessons at midday again! This afternoon, we moved indoors because of the rain and worked with smaller groups, again splitting by age, and also doing some 1:1 work with the very keen who are showing aptitude.

But it is tiny Didier who is amazing us by picking up the moves so fast, and performing them with such style!
