A blog about Kate and the breakdance project

Full-length photo of a young smiling woman (Kate Scanlan)Very Nice Threads, a blog about eco-fashion, has blogged about Kate Scanlan’s work with Catalyst Rwanda.

Kate talks about Pervez, who will be leading the workshops with the boys at Les Enfants de Dieu street children’s centre: “I love his [Pervez’s] approach because you learn to dance and express your character, you learn social dances, the philosophy of breaking, how to flow dancing with tops, get downs, footwork freezes. It’s a beautiful dance and I know that the children are going to learn foundation, character, style, how to dance in circles and to jam and most importantly have a lot of fun with the dance.”
